mRNA vaccines are recognized as potent tools for immunization against viral diseases and cancer. However, the lack of a vaccine adjuvant limits the efficacy of these treatments. Here, we used cGAS mRNA, which encodes the DNA innate immune sensor, complexed with lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) to boost the immune response.

The molecular mechanism by which inborn errors of the human RNA lariat-debranching enzyme 1 (DBR1) underlie brainstem viral encephalitis is unknown. We show here that the accumulation of RNA lariats in human DBR1-deficient cells interferes with stress granule (SG) assembly, promoting the proteasome degradation of at least G3BP1 and G3BP2, two key components of SGs. In turn, impaired assembly of SGs, which normally recruit PKR, impairs PKR activation and activity against viruses, including HSV-1.

Wetland restoration has a significantly impacts biogeochemical cycles. However, the specific mechanisms and potential microbial processes by which wetland restoration influences litter decomposition remain unclear. This knowledge gap hinders our ability to accurately predict ecological processes within wetland ecosystems across various restoration timeframes.

Continuous wetland restoration initiatives in China are increasing, due to the global degradation of wetland ecosystems. However, monitoring of the restoration situation remains incomplete. In this study, we investigated the effects of wetland restoration on the macroinvertebrate taxonomic structure and feeding functional groups (FFGs) in the Naolihe National Nature Reserve (NNNR).

Bi-layer structure has been widely adopted to improve the reliability of the conductive bridge random access memory (CBRAM). In this work, we proposed a convenient and economical solution to achieve a TaO/TaO bi-layer structure by using a low-temperature annealing process. The addition of a TaO layer acted as an external resistance suppressing the overflow current during set programming, thus achieving the self-compliance switching.

A novel solid-state electrochemiluminescence (ECL) quenching sensor was constructed for determination of brilliant blue FCF (BB FCF). Under a simple electropolymerization step, poly(sulfosalicylic acid) (PSSA) film attached luminophore Ru(bpy) was successfully formed on the surface of a glass carbon electrode [Ru(bpy)-PSSA/GCE], which exhibited excellent ECL behavior. A high quenching effect on the ECL signal of the Ru(bpy)-PSSA/GCE was obtained with the presence of low concentration of BB FCF.
