Objective: To investigate the factors affecting ferric chloride (FeCl) - induced carotid artery thrombosis model experiment.
Methods: After the common carotid artery was damaged by FeCl, the injured vessels were dissected for fixation, embedding, frozen section, and then processed HE staining. The carotid thrombus area ratio was calculated.
Three cationic Ir(III) complexes, , , and , were successfully synthesized and characterized by tuning the position of a phenyl group at the pyridyl moiety in 2-phenylpyridine. All three complexes exhibited typical aggregation-induced phosphorescence emission (AIPE) properties in CHCN/HO. The AIPE property was further utilized to achieve the highly sensitive detection of 2,4,6-trinitrophenol (TNP) in aqueous media with low limit of detection (LOD) values of 164, 176, and 331 nM, respectively.

Glycoprotein Ibα (GPIbα), the initiation protein of arterial thrombosis, was selected as a target for developing new antiplatelet drugs to prevent and treat arterial thrombosis. However, no anti-GPIbα drug is used successfully in clinical. We used human platelets as an antigen to immunize mice and obtained mouse anti-human GPIbα antibody 9C9.

However, the potential efficacy and mechanism of the effect of applying TENS for a short time in chronic pain patients remains unclear. To identify the effect of short-term TENS on chronic pain patients and to clarify the mechanism of the effect, we investigated abnormalities of functional connectivity (FC) within the prefrontal cortex (PFC) using resting-state functional near-infrared spectroscopy (rs-fNIRS).

The platelet glycoprotein Ibα (GPIbα) is involved in thrombosis, hemostasis, and inflammation response. However, it remains unclear whether the GPIbα cytoplasmic tail regulates sepsis-mediated platelet activation and inflammation, especially in Staphylococcus aureus () and Escherichia coli () infections.

Taking SeO (Se(VI)) as the target contaminant, this study identified that the removal processes of Se(VI) by GR could be divided into three stages: initial rapid interlayer exchange, followed by a rebound, and finally slow removal. In addition, as the percentage of SO in GR interlayer increased, the Se(VI) removal by GR gradually decreased.

Objective: To investigate how reactive oxygen species (ROS) regulates the signal transduction of platelet activation and apoptosis, and to explore the relationship between platelet activation and apoptosis.
Methods: Platelets were directly stimulated with thrombin or pretreated with ROS inhibitor N-acetylcysteine (NAC) before being stimulated with thrombin, and then flow cytometry was used to detect the effects of thrombin and NAC on P-selectin expression, αⅡbβ3 activation, mitochondrial membrane potential depolarization, phosphatidylserine (PS) externalization, ROS expression and platelet aggregation.
Results: Thrombin could induce the production of ROS in platelets in a concentration- and time-dependent manner.
Sexually dimorphic traits such as growth and body size are often found in various crustaceans. Methyl farnesoate (MF), the main active form of sesquiterpenoid hormone in crustaceans, plays vital roles in the regulation of their molting and reproduction. However, understanding on the sex differences in their hormonal regulation is limited.

However, these catheters exhibit inappropriate wettability and lack antimicrobial characteristics, which often lead to catheter-related infections and thrombosis. Therefore, there is an urgent need for blood contact catheters with antimicrobial and anticoagulant properties.

Existing methods involve embedd ingorganic dyes or flexible electronics into preformed hydrogels, which raise safety issues and adaptability challenges. In this study, an injectable hydrogel based smart wound dressing is developed by integrating food-derived anthocyanidin as a visual pH probe for infection monitoring and poly(L-lactic acid) microcapsules as ultrasound-responsive delivery systems for antibiotics into a poly(ethylene glycol) hydrogel.

In this study, a lignin self-healing polyurethane (PUDA-L) was specially designed using lignin as the raw material of polyurethane, combining lignin with Diels-Alder (DA) bond and hydrogen bonds. The experimental results showed that PUDA-L was prepared with good thermal stability, fatigue resistance, shape memory effect, excellent mechanical strength, and self-healing ability by partially replacing the crosslinking agents with bio-based lignin and hydroxylated modified lignin to increase the hydroxyl content.

X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy-dispersive spectrometry (EDS), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and scanning electron microscope (SEM) were used to characterize the morphology and crystal phase of FeO. Photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy combined with amperometric tests were used to determine the role of PDS on the performance of photocatalytic reaction.

Excess accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) is closely correlated with the development and reoccurrence of IBD. Previous researches demonstrate that procyanidin, as a natural antioxidant, exhibits strong ability of eliminating ROS, thus showing good therapeutic effects in the inflammation-related diseases.

Due to device operating environment limitations and data privacy protection, it is frequently difficult to obtain sufficient high-quality labeled data from devices, resulting in an insufficient generalization ability of fault diagnosis model. Therefore, a high-performance federated learning framework is proposed in this work, which makes improvements in the procedure of model aggregation and local model training. In the model aggregation of central server, an optimization aggregation strategy in which forgetting Kalman filter (FKF) is combined with cubic exponential smoothing (CES) is proposed to improve the efficiency of federated learning.

Magnesium (Mg) metal secondary batteries have attracted much attention for their high safety and high energy density characteristics. However, the significant issues of the cathode/electrolyte interphase (CEI) in Mg batteries are still being ignored. In this work, a significant CEI layer on the typical Mo S cathode surface has been unprecedentedly constructed through the oxidation of the chloride-free magnesium tetrakis(hexafluoroisopropyloxy)borate (Mg[B(hfip) ] ) salt under a proper charge cut-off voltage condition.
