leaves were converted to a porous graphitized carbon (GPLC) material via a high-temperature pyrolysis method by employing iron salt as a catalyst. A cobalt molybdate (CoMoO)-and-GPLC composite (CoMoO/GPLC) was then prepared by engineering CoMoO nanorods in situ, grown on GPLC. N adsorption-desorption isothermal curves and a pore size distribution curve verify that the proposed composite possesses a porous structure and a large specific surface area, which are favorable for charge and reactant transport and the rapid escape of O bubbles.

Situated in the north of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the Qaidam Basin experiences limited precipitation and significant evaporation. Despite these conditions, it stands out as one of the most densely distributed lakes in China. The formation of these lakes is controversial: whether the lake water primarily originates from local precipitation or external water sources.

Article Synopsis
  • Researchers discovered three new compounds, epicolidines A-C, and one known compound, PF 1052, from an endophytic fungus in Tibet, utilizing bioactivity-based molecular networking-guided fractionation.
  • The chemical structures of these compounds were determined through methods like spectroscopy, hydrolysis, quantum chemistry calculations, and X-ray diffraction.
  • Notably, one compound showed strong antibacterial activity against vancomycin-resistant enterococci (VRE), with a minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of 0.25 μg/mL, outperforming a common antibiotic combination and achieving a 100% survival rate in a VRE infection model.

To overcome the corrosion of hydrofluoric acid on the ICP OES injection system in the acid dissolution system, this paper makes some improvements based on the traditional open digestion. The improved method does not require the complete removal of hydrofluoric acid. After appropriate digestion of the sample with a mixed acid, the solution can be transferred to a colorimetric tube containing ammonium hydroxide solution to give the final volume for analysis.
