Supramolecular chirality has gained immense attention for great potential, in which the rational engineering strategy facilitates unique helical stacking/assembly, high chiroptical behavior, and prime biomedical activity. In this study, we reported a novel chiral organic donor-acceptor cocrystal based on asymmetrical components of benzo()naphtho(1,2-)thiophene (BNT) and 9-oxo-9H-indeno(1,2-)pyrazine-2,3-dicarbonitrile (DCAF) that exhibited red emission using a simple solution approach. During the self-assembly, a kinetically controlled growth of polar solvent or substrate induction led to the chiral packing and helical morphology twisted by the cooperation of electrostatic potential energy and chirality.

Background: Given the limited capacity and suboptimal sensitivity of ultrasonography (US), gadoxetic acid disodium (Gd-EOB-DTPA)-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) demonstrates good diagnostic performance for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Some researchers have proposed that the abbreviated MRI (AMRI) protocols have potential as a surveillance tool. However, few studies have compared multiple AMRI protocols with complete Gd-EOB-DTPA contrast-enhanced MRI for HCC surveillance.

Highly efficient separation of dispersed uranium is important for the sustainable development of nuclear industry, and adsorption is the most recognized approach. However, there are many coexisting interfering metal ions that compete with uranyl ion for the chelating ligands in the adsorbents and lead to low separation selectivity and efficiency. Herein, a coordination-induced magnetism strategy is presented for the separation of uranium based on the conversion of diamagnetic cyanoferrocene (Fc-CN) nanocrystals to uranium-containing magnetic recoverable ferromagnetic aggregates.

Objective: We present a novel method for detecting atrial fibrillation (AFib) by analyzing Lead II electrocardiograms (ECGs) using a unique set of features.

Methods: For this purpose, we used specific signal processing techniques, such as proper orthogonal decomposition, continuous wavelet transforms, discrete cosine transform, and standard cross-correlation, to extract 48 features from the ECGs. Thus, our approach aims to more effectively capture AFib signatures, such as beat-to-beat variability and fibrillatory waves, than traditional metrics.

Developing cost-effective, durable bifunctional electrocatalysts is crucial but remains challenging due to slow hydrogen/oxygen evolution reaction (HER/OER) kinetics in water electrolysis. Herein, a combined engineering strategy of phosphorous vacancy (V) and spontaneous built-in electric field (BIEF) is proposed to design novel highly-conductive Co-doped MoP@MXene heterostructures with phosphorous vacancy (V-Co-MoP@MXene). Wherein, Co doping regulates the surface electronic structure and charge re-distribution of MoP, V induces more defects and active sites, while BIEF accelerates the interfacial charge transfer rate between V-Co-MoP and MXene.
