Background: The study of molecular markers for diagnosis and prognosis is of great clinical significance for HNSCC patients. In this study, we proposed that FSCN1 has a potential indication for prognosis and is essential for the migration of HNSCC.

Methods: We analyzed the expression and survival association of FSCN1 in HNSCC using TCGA data.

An impaired epithelial barrier is often observed in allergic rhinitis (AR), which facilitates the infiltration of allergens. The aim of this study was to investigate the role of autophagy in the impaired epithelial barrier in AR and the related signalling pathways. A human nasal epithelial cell line was treated with dust mite allergen (Derp1).

Nasal epithelial cells are the first barrier against allergen infiltration in allergic rhinitis (AR), and the relationship between nasal epithelial cells and mast cell-mediated hypersensitivity remains unclear. This study aimed to investigate the possible association between allergen-challenged nasal epithelial cells (AR-HNEpC) and mast cell degranulation in AR. Our data revealed that calcium influx and degranulation were increased in AR-HNEpC-co-cultured mast cells.

Background: The poor outcomes in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) necessitate new treatments. AT7519 is a potent inhibitor of several cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs) and is currently in the early phase of clinical development for cancer treatment. The potent anti-cancer activities of AT7519 have been reported in various cancers, but not in NPC.
