Based on the neoclassical framework, we propose the convergence hypothesis of carbon productivity under sustainable growth and prove the different effects of knowledge spillover and technology diffusion on convergence. The convergence hypothesis is tested using China's provincial spatial dynamic panel data from 1995 to 2019. The results show that China's provincial carbon productivity has conditional convergence and club convergence characteristics.

The transcription factor ELONGATED HYPOCOTYL5 (HY5) plays critical roles in plant photomorphogenesis. Previous studies on HY5 have mainly focused on the seedling stage in Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana), and its functions in other plant species have not been well characterized, particularly at adult stages of development. In this report, we investigated the functions of tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) HY5 (SlHY5) from seedlings to adult plants with a focus on fruits.

Uncontrolled growth of tumor cells is highly dependent on the energy metabolism. Fasting-mimicking diet (FMD) is a low-calorie, low-protein, low-sugar diet representing a promising strategy for cancer treatment. However, triglyceride stored in adipose tissue is hydrolyzed into free fatty acids and glycerol for energy supply during FMD treatment.

The poor-soil-tolerant wild soybean resist phosphorus deficiency by remodeling membrane lipids to reuse phosphorus. The plants synthesize phenolic acids and flavonoids to remove reactive oxygen species and protect membrane stability. Poor soil largely limits plant yields, and the development and utilization of high-quality wild plant resources is an effective approach to resolving this problem.

Innovative breakthroughs regarding self-supported open and porous electrodes that can promote gas-liquid transmission and regulate the water dissociation kinetics are critical for sustainable hydrogen economy. Herein, a free-standing porous electrode with Pd-NiS nanoparticles assembled in a multichannel carbonized wood framework (Pd-NiS/CW) was ingeniously constructed. Specifically, carbonized wood (CW) with a mass of open microchannels and high electrical conductivity can significantly facilitate electrolyte permeation ("inhalation"), hydrogen evolution ("exhalation"), and electron transfer.

Nonconscious behavioral mimicry is prevalent in humans and highly social animals who imitate the behaviors of others without awareness. Previous studies indicated people tended to match their amount of eating to that of their eating companions due to behavioral mimicry, however whether such phenomena were existed in rodents is still unknown. Developing a behavioral paradigm would be helpful to better understand the molecular and circuit mechanisms underlying behavioral mimicry.
