The aim of this study was to assess the feasibility of a bowel management program for patients with neurogenic bowel function after spinal cord injury. The program is based on evidence-based nursing, expert meeting and pre-experiment construction, the construction process is standardized and scientific, and the content is comprehensive, mainly includes 4 dimensions of bowel assessment, bowel intervention, assessment indices and discharge follow-up, which were carried out at the time of admission (T1), discharge (T2) and 1 month after discharge (T3) of patients in the experimental group, while the control group used routine orthopedic bowel management, and bowel function indices, quality of life and laboratory tests were used as outcome indices, and differences in the observed indices of patients in the two groups were compared to validate the effect of the program. Compared with the control group, the incidence of bloating, constipation and fecal incontinence was significantly reduced in the experimental group, while the frequency of defecation scores, fecal character scores, Neurogenic Bowel Dysfunction scores, laboratory test results and quality of life were also effectively improved.

Orosomucoid (ORM) is an important hepatokine that regulates metabolism. Previous report showed that isoform ORM2 but not ORM1 could downregulate lipogenic genes and ameliorate hepatic steatosis in obese mice, thereby categorizing ORM2 as a promising candidate for therapeutic intervention in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). The genus have long been recognized as a source of structural novel, pharmaceutically relevant natural products. We reviewed the structures and activities of secondary metabolites isolated from the genus of from January 1995 to June 2024, and 280 compounds, including six major categories-terpenoids, alkaloids, polyketides, polyphenols, steroids, and other classes-are presented in this review. Among these metabolites, 196 were identified as new structures.

The dual-functional heterogeneous Fenton catalyst Cu/Ti co-doped iron-based Fenton catalyst (Cu/Ti -FeO@FeOOH, FCT) were successfully prepared by precipitation oxidation method and characterized by XRD, XPS and XAFS. The prepared Cu/Ti co-doped FeO@FeOOH nanoparticles consisted of goethite nanorods and magnetite rod octahedral particles, with Cu and Ti replacing Fe in the catalyst crystal structure, leading to the formation of the goethite structure. The heterogeneous Fenton catalyst FCT exhibited excellent degradation activity for cyanide in wastewater and showed different reaction mechanisms at varying pH levels.

Selective functionalization of allenic C(sp)-H is an ideal approach to upgrading simple allenes to synthetically useful allenes, albeit suffering from challenges associated with inert reactivity and inferior selectivity. Inspired by energy chemistry, a catalytic hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) strategy was leveraged to selectively activate weakly acidic allene C(sp)-H bonds in a reductive mode. An array of [CoO] metallacycle complexes were readily devised starting from amino acids, and they were demonstrated as robust HER catalysts, which would selectively break allenic C(sp)-H bonds to release hydrogen.

Decellularized Adipose-Derived Matrix (DAM) has the function of inducing adipogenesis, but the distribution of adipogenesis is uneven. We found for the first time that DAM contains two structural components: The tough fibers DAM (T-DAM) and the fine fibers DAM (F-DAM). T-DAM was a dense vortex structure composed of a large number of coarse fibers, characterized by myoblast-related proteins, which cannot achieve fat regeneration and forms a typical "adipose-free zone".
