Measuring bipartite fluctuations of a conserved charge, such as the particle number, is a powerful approach to understanding quantum systems. When the measured region has sharp corners, the bipartite fluctuation receives an additional contribution known to exhibit a universal angle dependence in 2D isotropic and uniform systems. Here we establish that, for generic lattice systems of interacting particles, the corner charge fluctuation is directly related to quantum geometry.

A case of chorea-acanthocytosis with significant improvement of symptoms at one year with deep brain stimulation: case report and literature review.

Chorea-acanthocytosis (ChAc) is a rare, neurodegenerative disorder caused by mutations in the VPS13A gene. In this article, we report on a 32-year-old man diagnosed with ChAc, with involuntary movements of the mouth and trunk, drooling of the mouth, slurred speech, and abnormal vocalizations as the main clinical manifestations. Three weeks after implantation of globus pallidus internal (GPi)-deep brain stimulation (DBS), the patient's symptoms improved significantly.

Effect of resistance exercise on physical fitness, quality of life, and fatigue in patients with cancer: a systematic review.

Objective: The purpose of this study is to conduct a systematic review to assess the effects of different forms of resistance exercises (resistance exercise, resistance exercise combined with aerobic exercise, and resistance exercise combined with other exercises) on physical fitness, quality of life (QOL), and fatigue of patients with cancer.

Methods: We conducted a systematic review using the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions guidelines. We searched PubMed, Web of Science, and Scopus databases for the studies from the establishment of the database to September 2023, including randomized controlled trials and clinical trials that evaluated the effects of different resistance exercise on physical fitness, QOL, and fatigue in all patients with cancer.

In this paper, a graphene-vanadium dioxide-based reconfigurable metasurface unit structure is proposed. Using the change at a graphene Fermi energy level on the surface of the unit structure to satisfy the 2-bit coding condition, four reflection units with a phase difference of 90 can be discovered. The modulating impact of the multi-beam reflection wave with 1-bit coding is then confirmed.

In response to the problem that current multi-city multi-pollutant prediction methods based on one-dimensional undirected graph neural network models cannot accurately reflect the two-dimensional spatial correlations and directedness, this study proposes a four-dimensional directed graph model that can capture the two-dimensional spatial directed information and node correlation information related to multiple factors, as well as extract temporal correlation information at different times. Firstly, A four-dimensional directed GCN model with directed information graph in two-dimensional space was established based on the geographical location of the city. A deep reinforcement learning model is proposed, which can realize the mutual conversion of water quality data prediction models at different times, select the optimal prediction strategy of lake eutrophication at the current time according to its own continuous learning, and improve the reinforcement learning algorithm. Firstly, the greedy factor, the fixed parameter of Agent learning training in reinforcement learning, is introduced into an arctangent function and the mean value reward factor is defined.

The purpose of this study was to examine the associations of social support factors with leisure-time physical activity (LTPA) of older people in Fuwen village. A cross-sectional study included 523 randomly selected elderly people (60+ years) whose LTPA levels were determined using the shortened version of the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ-S). A modified version of the Physical Activity Social Support Scale (PASSS) was operated to gather perceived scores of the social support factors.
