Heat stress changes AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) activity in many tissues and cells, and enhances lactate secretion in Sertoli cells. However, it is unclear whether heat stress affects lactate secretion by regulating the phosphorylation level of AMPK in boar immature Sertoli cells.
