More immune-related adverse events (irAEs) have emerged along with increased immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) treatment. ICI-induced myocarditis is a rare type of irAE with early onset, rapid progression, and high mortality. Its specific pathophysiological mechanism is not fully understood.

Intra-abdominal inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor: spontaneous regression.

Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumors are usually treated by surgical resection. We herein report two cases of intra-abdominal inflammatory myofibroblastic tumors that were unresectable and underwent spontaneous regression without any treatment. Our case report and literature review show that regression is more common in the middle-aged and older male populations.

Prognostic analysis of combined curative resection of the stomach and liver lesions in 30 gastric cancer patients with synchronous liver metastases.

Background: Gastric cancer with synchronous liver metastasis remains a clinical treatment challenge. There has been a longstanding debate on the question whether surgical resection could be beneficial to long-term survival. This study is to investigate the effectiveness and prognostic factors of combined curative resection of the stomach and liver lesions in gastric cancer patients with synchronous liver metastases.

[Determination of trace zinc, manganese, cadmium and lead in aloe by microwave-digestion atomic absorption spectrometry].

A microwave digestion procedure was developed for the determination of trace Zn, Mn, Cd and Pb in aloe-leaf cuticle and aloe-leaf gelatin, using the obturated vessel microwave digestion system with a pressure controlling part, and the amounts of these trace metallic elements were determined by atomic absorption spectrometry after microwave digestion. The effects of the composition of digestion solution, the ratio of the sample to digestion solution, and the digestion time were studied. It is satisfactory to apply the microwave digestion procedure to the determination of Zn, Mn, Cd and Pb under the optimized condition with the recovery of 95.
