Background: The HIV epidemic continues to expand among men who have sex with men (MSM) in China. The NIMH Project Accept/HPTN 043 trial suggested a borderline significant trend toward HIV incidence reduction among persons with higher testing rates.
Methods: We assessed HIV testing histories and infection status among a community-based Beijing MSM.
Background: Early antiretroviral therapy (ART) initiation is crucial to achieve HIV viral suppression and reduce transmission. HIV-infected Chinese men who have sex with men (MSM) were less likely to initiate ART than other HIV-infected individuals. We assessed predictors of ART initiation among Chinese MSM.

Objective: To understand factors influencing implementation of HIV-related services to individuals with SMI, we conducted a series of focus groups with multidisciplinary clinicians and staff serving individuals with SMI in outpatient, emergency, acute inpatient, and chronic inpatient levels of care.
Method: Six focus groups with 30 participants were conducted, audiotaped, and transcribed.
Objective: To assess the correlates for bisexual behaviors, HIV knowledge, and HIV/AIDS-related stigmatizing/discriminatory attitudes among men who have sex with men (MSM).
Methods: A cross-sectional survey among MSM was conducted in 2011 to provide demographics, sexual behaviors, HIV knowledge, HIV/AIDS-related stigmatizing/discriminatory attitudes, and services in Jinan, Qingdao, and Yantai of Shandong Province of China.
Results: Of 1230 participants, 82.

The preventative effects of antiretroviral therapy for people with HIV have been debated since they were first raised. Models commenced studying the preventive effects of treatment in the 1990s, prior to initial public reports. However, the outcomes of the preventive effects of antiretroviral use were not consistent.

The rationale for a PCMH with HIV-specific expertise is rooted in clinical complexity, HIV's social context, and ongoing gaps in HIV care. Existing Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program clinicians are prime candidates to serve HIV PCMHs, and HIV-experienced community-based organizations can play an important role.

Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted in 2012. Structured interviews collected data on demographics, sexual and drug use behaviors, and the use of HIV services.
Washington, DC, is a metropolitan city with a severe HIV epidemic and faces challenges in retaining people living with HIV (PLWH) in quality care. This study assessed site migration in seeking care services and its correlates among PLWH in DC. PLWH diagnosed before 2008 and living through the end of 2010 were analyzed.

Methods: A cross-sectional survey provided information on participants' demographics, risk behaviors, circumcision, and uptake of HIV prevention services.
Results: Of 570 participants, 13.

Results: Of 1239 participants, 15.
Current advances have added geosocial networking (GSN) mobile phone applications as an option for men who have sex with men (MSM) to meet other men. This is the first study to assess GSN application use and sex-seeking behaviors of MSM recruited using venue-based sampling. Among the 379 MSM in this study, 63.

Three consecutive cross-sectional surveys were carried out using a consistent respondent-driven sampling (RDS) approach in 2009, 2010, and 2011, respectively. Structured-questionnaire based interviews were completed with computer-assisted self-administration.

We examined HIV testing behaviors among heterosexuals at risk for HIV over time using CDC National HIV Behavioral Surveillance data from Washington, DC for the heterosexual cycles from 2006 to 2007 (Cycle 1) and 2010 (Cycle 2). Past year and past 2-year HIV testing across study cycles were compared using Chi square tests.

These measures have been developed and tested in a variety of settings and populations. While efforts have been undertaken to develop context specific measures of these domains among Chinese MSM, the feasibility of using existing measures is unknown.

Methods: The integration individual, community, and structural intervention was implemented from 2004 to 2009 in six counties of Shandong Province. Post-intervention cross-sectional surveys were conducted in six intervention counties and 10 control counties.
The epidemiology of HIV in urban centers of the United States such as the District of Columbia (DC) is dynamic with rates of new HIV and AIDS diagnoses as well as risk factors elevated. Correlates of HIV among heterosexual women extend beyond traditional, individual risk factors to structural factors. The purpose of this study was to compare proportions of HIV and correlates of HIV among women participating in National HIV behavioral surveillance (NHBS) system in 2006-7 (NHBS Cycle 1) and 2010 (NHBS Cycle 2).
