Background: Peripheral nerve injury (PNI) is a common clinical problem that can result in partial or complete loss of sensory, motor, and autonomic functions. Tetrahydropalmatine (THP), a Corydalis yanhusuo-derived phytochemical alkaloid, possesses hypnotic, soothing, analgesic, and other effects, but little is known about the effect of THP on moderating peripheral nerve regeneration and its possible underlying mechanism of action.
Purpose: In this study, we aim to elucidate the protective function of THP on PNI and further reveal the underlying pharmacological mechanisms.
Background And Aims: Cirrhosis is characterised by hyperdynamic circulation, which contributes to cirrhotic cardiomyopathy (CCM). However, the expert consensus on CCM did not initially include cardiac structure because of scant evidence. Therefore, this study investigated the associations of cardiac chamber geometry with mortality and CCM.

Investigating their heterogeneity and cell type-specific response to HS is essential for improving crop resilience. Here, we generate single-cell transcriptional landscape of maize (Zea mays) roots in response to HS.

Objective: Abnormal mechanical stress is intimately coupled with osteoarthritis. Microtubules play a vital role in the regulation of mechanotransduction and intracellular transport. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the impact of stress-induced microtubule impairment on intracellular transport and lipid droplet (LD) accumulation in chondrocytes.

TMJ cartilage harbours CD90-expressing cells, and CD90 expression increases under certain controlled conditions. The parathyroid hormone-related peptide (PTHrP) nuclear localisation segment (NLS) promotes chondrocyte proliferation, and mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) signalling plays a regulatory role in promoting PTHrP transcription.

Objectives: To establish an efficient and clinically applicable predictive model and scoring system for central precocious puberty (CPP) in girls, and to develop a diagnostic prediction application.
Methods: A total of 342 girls aged 4 to 9 years with precocious puberty were included, comprising 216 cases of CPP and 126 cases of isolated premature thelarche. Lasso regression was used to screen for predictive factors, and logistic regression was employed to establish the predictive model.
The rapid expansion of reservoirs, coupled with increasing eutrophication, has profoundly influenced regional and global carbon cycles. To precisely assess the carbon sink potential of reservoirs, it is crucial to quantify the decomposition of endogenous particulate organic carbon (POC) during the deposition and sinking of particulate matter in reservoirs. This is particularly important in the context of rising temperatures and intensified human activities.

However, there is an open issue to improve the temporal response of PDs while maintaining high gain and sensitivity. Herein, photoconductive type MDHJs PDs with 2D InSe and covalent-bonded CdTe thin film are designed and fabricated in which InSe is the active layer and CdTe is the medium gain one.

Osteosarcoma (OS) is a highly fatal malignant tumor with a high metastatic rate and poor prognosis. Matrix metalloproteinase-13 (MMP13) is involved in OS metastasis. Its increased expression is closely related to distant metastasis and poor prognosis.

Doxorubicin is commonly used in chemotherapy for advanced and recurrent cases; however, low sensitivity frequently limits its effectiveness. In this study, we verified that SRC modulates the sensitivity of endometrial cancer to chemotherapy of doxorubicin and developed a targeted silencing drug delivery platform that employs rolling circle amplification and dual-multivalent aptamers to precisely deliver therapeutics directly to tumor cells.

Therefore, the development of small molecules for precise regulation of protein phosphorylation holds great potential for drug design. While the traditional kinase/phosphatase small-molecule modulators have shown some success, achieving precise phosphorylation regulation has proven to be challenging.

Chemical N-glycoconjugation can provide a unique way to tailor the properties of the ubiquitous amines for further expending their diverse functions and applications. Nevertheless, effective methodology for glycoconjugation of amines remains largely underdeveloped. Inspired by a biotransformation pathway of amine-containing drugs in vivo, we have developed an effective protocol that enables one-step chemical N-glycoconjugation of amines in high stereoselectivity under mild conditions.

This study aimed to evaluate the effects of B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP) on cardiac structural remodeling in a rabbit model of AF.
Methods: Rabbits were subjected to rapid pacing to induce an AF model, and BNP was delivered subcutaneously at a dose of 20 μg/kg/d twice per day for three weeks.
In recent years, research on active polysaccharides has progressed significantly, particularly regarding their anticancer and immunomodulatory properties. Among these, clam polysaccharides, a type of marine-derived polysaccharide, exhibit notable biological activities, including both anticancer effects and immune modulation. The aims of this study are to investigate the anticancer and immunomodulatory effects of microwave-extracted clam polysaccharide (MCP) in vitro.

Cell division cycle 37 (CDC37) is a member of the molecular chaperone family and acts as a cochaperone of heat shock protein 90 (HSP90), which is overexpressed in many cancer types as a regulator of protein kinase maturation. In this process, CDC37 selectively recognizes and stabilizes protein kinases by forming a HSP90-CDC37-kinase chaperone complex. The protein-protein interactions (PPIs) of HSP90-CDC37 and CDC37-kinase complexes contribute to malignant tumors, as oncogenic kinases in malignant cells depend upon CDC37 expression.

Our previous studies have found that quinazoline derivatives showed the WRN-dependent antiproliferative activity. In this study, a series of new quinazoline derivatives were designed and synthesized by optimizing the structure, and evaluating the targeting and sensitivity to WRN helicase.
