A smartphone-assisted portable dual-mode immunoassay was constructed based on curcumin nanoparticles (CNPs) and carbon dots (CDs) for gentamicin (GEN) detection. CNPs were labeled with goat anti-mouse IgG (Ab) to create a conjugation that coupled dual signals to concentrations of GEN antigens. CNPs were introduced to pH 7.

A dual-mode (colorimetric/fluorescence) nanoenzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (NLISA) was developed based on Au-Cu nanocubes generating Prussian blue nanoparticles (PBNPs). It is expected that this method can be used to detect the residues of sulfonamides in the field, and solve the problem of long analysis time and high cost of the traditional method. Sulfadimethoxine (SDM) was selected as the proof-of-concept target analyte.

A ratiometric fluorescence and colorimetry dual-mode nano-biosensor has been established for Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) determination. The prepared approaches of Manganese dioxide nanosheets (MnO NSs) and carbon dots (BCDs) were facile, efficient and labor-saving and MnO NSs-mediated fluorescence quenching and oxidation could amplify detection signals.

[Significance of Neutrophil/Lymphocyte Ratio and Platelet/Lymphocyte Ratio in Patients with Multiple Myeloma].

Objective: To investigate the significance of neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio(NLR) and platelet/lymphocyte ratio(PLR) in patients with multiple myeloma (MM).

Methods: Eighty patients with multiple myeloma admitted in our hospital from August 2007 to August 2010 were selected. The clinical data of the patients, including hemoglobin (Hb), mean corpuscular volume (MCV), mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH), mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC), red blood cell distribution width (RDW), white blood cell(WBC) count, absolute neutrophil count (ANC), platelet count (PC), glomerular filtration rate (GFR), calcium, albumin, β2 microglobulin and so on were collected and analyzed.

Drought is a severe meteorological disaster on agriculture in Jilin Province. Agricultural drought can be represented by drought indices, but there is no universal applicable index. It is of great significance to examine the applicability of drought indices for agricultural drought evaluation.

Local integral estimates as well as local nonexistence results for a class of quasilinear equations -Δ p u = σP(u) + ω for p > 1 and Hessian equations F k [-u] = σP(u) + ω were established, where σ is a nonnegative locally integrable function or, more generally, a locally finite measure, ω is a positive Radon measure, and P(u) ~ exp⁡αu (β) with α > 0 and β ≥ 1 or P(u) = u (p-1).

The utility of fluorescence in situ hybridization for diagnosis and surveillance of bladder urothelial carcinoma.

Purpose: To evaluate the clinical value of fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) for diagnosis and surveillance of bladder urothelial carcinoma (BUC).

Materials And Methods: Between November 2010 and December 2013, patients suspected of having BUC were examined using urine cytology and FISH assay. Based on histopathological examination results, FISH results were com­pared with urine cytology.
