Vaginal atresia is a rare anomaly of the female reproductive tract that significantly impacts women's reproductive health and quality of life. Although there has been relatively extensive research on the clinical manifestations and differential diagnosis of vaginal atresia, there is a paucity of literature specifically addressing the genetic background, treatment protocols, and psychological status of patients with vaginal atresia, indicating a need for further investigation. In this context, this article systematically reviews the epidemiological characteristics of vaginal atresia and explores its etiology from multiple perspectives, including developmental processes, genetic factors, and environmental factors, emphasizing the importance of genetic susceptibility and environmental interactions in the pathogenesis of the condition.

Objectives: The Shh pathway may shed new light on developing new cell death inhibitors for the therapy of ischemic stroke. We aimed to examine whether the Shh co-reporter SMO or its agonist halcinonide can upregulate Bcl-2 to suppress neuronal cell death, ultimately improving behavioral deficits and reducing cerebral infarction in an ischemic stroke model.

Hemodynamic cues are thought to control blood vessel hierarchy through a shear stress set point, where flow increases lead to blood vessel diameter expansion, while decreases in blood flow cause blood vessel narrowing. Aberrations in blood vessel diameter control can cause congenital arteriovenous malformations (AVMs). We show in zebrafish embryos that while arteries behave according to the shear stress set point model, veins do not.

Recombinant collagen holds immense potential in the development of medical functional materials, yet its widespread application remains hindered by the absence of a suitable self-assembly strategy. In this article, we report the discovery that the bacterial-derived collagen-like (CL) protein Scl2 can rapidly self-gelation (∼1 min at pH ∼7) due to properties enabled by metal coordination crosslinking. Enzyme replacement therapy (ERT) is the only approved disease-modifying treatment modality for Pompe disease, a rare, inherited metabolic disorder caused by a deficiency in the acid -glucosidase (GAA) enzyme that catabolizes lysosomal glycogen. First-generation recombinant human GAA (rhGAA) ERT (alglucosidase alfa) can slow the progressive muscle degeneration characteristic of the disease. Landslides are highly destructive geological disasters that pose a serious threat to the safety of people's lives and property. In this study, historical records of landslides in Yunnan Province, along with eight underlying factors of landslide (elevation, slope, aspect, lithology, land cover type, normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI), soil type, and average annual precipitation (AAP)), as well as historical rainfall and current rainfall data were utilized. In the existing work of tensor product (TP) model transformation, the TP model transformation-based work on the quadrotor's control system design is scarce, the direct TP model transformation control strategy that applied to the quadrotor fails due to the calculation complexity, infeasibility of the huge amount of linear matrix inequalities, and the complexity of solving the linear matrix inequalities. To solve this problem, a partial TP model transformation-based double loop fuzzy controller has been studied in this work, the double-loop hybrid control scheme combines the fully actuated control method and the TP model transformation, while the fully actuated control method is used to the position subsystem control loop, and the TP model transformation based fuzzy controller is applied to the attitude control of the quadrotor. Moreover, for comparison purpose, a varying-input method based on TP model transformation is extended to the quadrotor's system control.
