Objective: To explore the effectiveness of the four-step death education model based on constructivist learning theory in enhancing the death coping abilities and attitudes of trainee nurses and improving course satisfaction.
Methods: Sixty-six trainee nurses from a tumour hospital in Shanxi Province were selected as the study subjects, and a class-experimental research design was adopted, in which the nursing students before the course implementation were taken as the control group and those after the course implementation were taken as the experimental group. Death Attitude Profile Revised Scale (DAP) was used to measure the cognitive attitude of nursing students towards death, and a self-made questionnaire was used to test the satisfaction of nursing students with the curriculum design.
African American (AA) kidney transplant recipients exhibit a higher rate of graft loss compared with other racial and ethnic populations, highlighting the need to identify causative factors. Here, in the Genomics of Chronic Allograft Rejection cohort, pretransplant blood RNA sequencing revealed a cluster of four consecutive missense single-nucelotide polymorphisms (SNPs), within the leukocyte immunoglobulin-like receptor B3 (LILRB3) gene, strongly associated with death-censored graft loss. This SNP cluster (named LILRB3-4SNPs) encodes missense mutations at amino acids 617-618 proximal to a SHP1/2 phosphatase-binding immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motif.

The aim of this study was to observe the effects of a single epidural administration of butorphanol combined with patient-controlled intravenous analgesia on postpartum uterine contraction pain after cesarean section.
Methods: We randomly allotted 121 women undergoing cesarean section surgery procedure to 3 groups: 31 cases were excluded; and 90 cases were divided into group S (blank control, n = 30), group I (intravenous butorphanol, n = 30), and group E (butorphanol administered into the epidural cavity, n = 30).
High-efficiency flotation of low-rank coal slime is an urgent problem to be solved in the comprehensive recycling and utilization of coal resources. The flotation results presented that the flotation effect of a single collector on low-rank coal slime was poor, which made it difficult to improve its flotation index. When dodecamine was added alone, the yield and ash of cleaned coal were higher at 79.

In the cytoplasm, acetyl-CoA is mainly produced by ATP-citrate lyase (ACL), which is composed of ACLA and ACLB subunits. In this study, we isolated the restorer-4 (res4) of the thermo-sensitive genic male sterile mutant reversible male sterile-2 (rvms-2) in Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana).

This study introduces an experimental study based on the X-Ray Diffractometry (XRD) method to evaluate the performance of HOPG reflectors. The experimental method provides both the angular responses and the reflectivities of the HOPG reflectors.

Material And Methods: A retrospective analysis of 88 cases from October 2018 to February 2023 was conducted. Patients were divided into Responder and Non-Responder groups based on renal function outcomes at their last follow-up.
The photocatalytic conversion of CO into products such as CH and CH poses a significant challenge due to the lengthy reaction steps and the high energy barrier involved. In this study, both benzothiadiazole (BTD) and hydroxyl groups (-OH) are introduced into cobalt-based polymerized porphyrinic network (PPN) through a C-C coupling reaction. This modification of orbital energy levels that strengthens the ability of gain electrons and facilitates the charge transfer in PPN.

This can lead to significant losses for supply chains and global businesses. Therefore, monitoring supply chain risk is crucial to ensure the smooth operation of the supply chain.

A recyclable ternary deep eutectic solvent (TDES) was used to prepare surface ammonium phosphate-modified cellulose fabrics (SACF). The incorporation of ammonium phosphate groups notably enhanced the durable flame retardancy of cellulose fabrics.

Although there are some exceptions, blood-fleshed peaches typically have a sour taste. However, little is known about the genetic variations linking organic acid and color regulation in peaches.

The precise delineation of Gross Tumor Volumes (GTVs) and Organs-At-Risk (OARs) is crucial in radiation treatment, directly impacting patient prognosis. Despite that deep learning has achieved remarkable performance on various medical image segmentation tasks, its performance on OARs and GTVs of NPC is still limited, and high-quality benchmark datasets on this task are highly desirable for model development and evaluation.

Methods: The miR-875-5p mimic was conjugated to AuNPs to produce AuNP-miR-875-5p. Then, the effect of AuNP-miR-875-5p on the proliferative, migratory, invasive activities, and apoptosis of BC cells was detected, as well as on tumor growth in animals.

Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV)-positive neuroendocrine carcinoma (NEC) is a rare neoplasm with limited histopathological and therapeutic data. This report presents 22 cases of EBV-positive NEC, analyzing age distribution, morphology, and immunophenotype. The median patient age was 47 years (range: 27-67 years), with a male-to-female ratio of 17:5.

There have been vast improvements in automatic segmentation methods in the past several years, and the Fetal Brain Tissue Annotation (FeTA) Challenge 2021 helped to establish an excellent standard of fetal brain segmentation. However, FeTA 2021 was a single center study, limiting real-world clinical applicability and acceptance.

As natural active ingredients, polysaccharides are a class of biological macromolecules that are ubiquitous in living organisms and have antibacterial, antioxidant, antitumor and intestinal flora-regulating functions. Nonstarch polysaccharides (NSPs) are an important class of polysaccharides that include both soluble and insoluble nonstarch polysaccharides. As green feed additives, NSPs play important roles in promoting immunity and disease resistance in the body, regulating the intestinal microbial balance and improving the quality of animal products.
