Purpose: To evaluate 2-year outcomes of intravitreal aflibercept injection for neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD) treated with "observe before treat-and-extend (O-TAE)" strategy in the real-world setting.
Methods: This retrospective study included treatment-naive nAMD patients treated with aflibercept using O-TAE regimen and followed up for more than 2 years. Patients were observed bimonthly to check recurrence after three monthly loading injections.
Recently, lanthanide-based 0D metal halides have attracted considerable attention for their applications in X-ray imaging, light-emitting diodes (LEDs), sensors, and photodetectors. Herein, lead-free 0D gadolinium-alloyed cesium cerium chloride (Gd-alloyed CsCeCl) nanocrystals (NCs) are introduced as promising materials for optoelectronic application owing to their unique optical properties. The incorporation of Gd in CsCeCl (CCC) NCs is proposed to increase the photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) from 57% to 96%, along with significantly enhanced phase and chemical stability.

Methods: We conducted a population-based cohort study of TB survivors and 1:1 age- and sex-matched controls using data from the Korean National Health Insurance Service database collected from 2010 to 2017.
Objective: We aimed to investigate the effect of internet-based and in-person cognitive interventions on cognition, mood, and activities of daily living (ADL) on patients with mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease (AD) and examine whether internet-based intervention is as effective as the in-person intervention.
Methods: We recruited 52 patients with probable mild AD, of whom 42 completed the trial. We randomly divided participants into intervention and control groups at a 1:1 ratio and statistically compared the neuropsychological test results of the two groups.
Purpose: To investigate the toxicity of repeated simultaneous intrastromal and intracameral injections of voriconazole in corneal endothelial cells in a rabbit model.
Methods: Thirty-six eyes of 18 New Zealand white rabbits (six eyes per group) were divided into 6 groups according to the concentration of voriconazole (Group A, 0%; Group B, 0.05%; Group C, 0.
Purpose: To evaluate changes in ocular surface indices and tear cytokines after cataract surgery in type 2 diabetic patients.
Methods: Ocular surface indices and concentrations of tear cytokines (MCP-1, IL-6, IL-8, and VEGF) were evaluated at baseline and one week and one month postoperatively.
Results: Patients (30 diabetic and 30 control) were enrolled.
Purpose: To evaluate the level of agreement between ANTERION (Heidelberg Engineering, Heidelberg, Germany), OA-2000 (Tomey, Nagoya, Japan), and IOLMaster 500 (Carl Zeiss AG, Jena, Germany).
Methods: Fifty-one eyes of 51 patients were included in the study. Flat keratometry (K) and steep K, vector component of astigmatism (Jackson cross-cylinder at 0° and 90° [J0] and Jackson cross-cylinder at 45° and 135° [J45]), anterior chamber depth, and axial length were compared using the three devices.
Objective: Lymphangitis carcinomatosa (LC) is a rare form of metastasis. The purposes of this study were to evaluate computed tomography (CT) findings associated with LC in neck soft tissue and to determine those that were useful in distinguishing LC from cellulitis.
Methods: Contrast-enhanced CT images of 26 patients with pathologically confirmed LC (n = 5) and clinically proven cellulitis (n = 21) were reviewed retrospectively.
Objective: This study aimed to determine a factor for predicting suboptimal image quality of the hepatobiliary phase (HBP) of gadoxetic acid-enhanced MRI in patients with extrahepatic bile duct (EHD) cancer before MRI examination.
Materials And Methods: We retrospectively evaluated 259 patients (mean age ± standard deviation: 68.0 ± 8.

The Working Group on Severe Asthma of the Korean Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology recently published an expert opinion paper on the management of severe asthma in Korea. When developing a consensus, the working group encountered several diagnostic and treatment issues and decided to perform a questionnaire survey of Korean specialists with regard to severe asthma. An e-mail with a uniform resource locator link to the questionnaire was sent to 121 asthma specialists, of whom 44.

This study's aim was to identify and characterize the top 100 COVID-19-related scientific publications, which had received the highest Altmetric Attention Scores (AASs). Hence, we searched Altmetric Explorer using search terms such as "COVID" or "COVID-19" or "Coronavirus" or "SARS-CoV-2" or "nCoV" and then selected the top 100 articles with the highest AASs.

Purpose: To evaluate the annual number and characteristics of self-corrected publications in the imaging literature within the last 20 years.
Material And Methods: We searched MEDLINE (via PubMed) using the following keyword: ("Published Erratum" [Publication Type] OR "Corrected and Republished Article" [Publication Type]) in the imaging literature to identify all self-corrected publications in which initial versions of articles were published during 1999-2018.
We compared the characteristics of the most cited, most downloaded, and most mentioned (the highest Altmetric Attention Score) articles published in general medical journals. We identified the 640 most frequently cited, 662 most frequently downloaded, and 652 most mentioned articles from 48 general medical journals. A comparison was made of the following characteristics of articles in the most cited, most downloaded, and most mentioned articles: medical specialty, publication type, country of origin, year of publication, and accessibility.

However, to date, a precise definition of or clear diagnostic criteria for SA have not been established, and therefore, it has been challenging for clinicians to diagnose and treat this disease. Currently, novel biologics targeting several molecules, such as immunoglobulin E, interleukin (IL)5, and IL4/IL13, have emerged, and many new drugs are under development.

The aim of this study was to identify and characterize the top 100 articles with the highest Altmetric attention score (AAS) in medical imaging journals.
Materials And Methods: We searched for AASs articles published in 116 journals in the subject category "Radiology, Nuclear Medicine and Medical Imaging" using the Web of Science.

Background: Tricuspid regurgitation is treated by valve repair or replacement. However, these methods have limitations, and alternative treatment methods are therefore required.
Objectives: In this study, a new method of tricuspid valve treatment using artificial membrane insertion is analyzed.
Objective: To clarify the pre-operative imaging and clinical features differentiating malignant from benign intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN) of the pancreas and develop a nomogram for estimating the individualized risk of malignant IPMN.
Methods: One hundred twenty-six patients with IPMN (72 benign and 54 malignant) who underwent pre-operative contrast-enhanced CT or MRI from 2010 to 2018 were retrospectively evaluated in two tertiary institutions. All lesions were pathologically proven by surgery or biopsy.
Background: The impact of any scientific article has traditionally been measured by the number of citations received. More recently, alternative metrics (altmetrics) reflect the digital dissemination of knowledge across the online mediasphere.
Purpose: To evaluate and compare the characteristics of top-cited articles with those of top Altmetric articles related to nuclear medicine (NM).
A Gram-stain-negative, obligately aerobic bacterium, designated strain B6, was isolated from rice wine vinegar in the Republic of Korea. Cells were non-motile and oval short rods showing catalase-positive and oxidase-negative activities. Growth was observed at 15-45 °C (optimum, 30 °C) and pH 3.

However, there is little research on the detailed mechanism of acupuncture therapy relieving depression. Previously, 17β-estradiol (E2) was shown to prevent oxidative stress and endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress in ovariectomized (OVX) rats.
