Primary tuberculosis of the glans penis.

Objective: Tuberculosis of the penis is an extremely rare disease with few cases reported in the literature.

Method: We present the case of a 64 year-old man with a whitish papular-ampullary eruption in the glans penis. After antibiotic/antimycotic therapy and several topical ointments for 3 months without response he was referred to our Department.

The 3-day bladder diary is a feasible, reliable and valid tool to evaluate the lower urinary tract symptoms in women.

Aims: To evaluate the feasibility (% of completion), reliability (test-retest and inter-observer) and validity (convergent vs. questionnaires and vs. urodynamic study-UDS) of the 3-day bladder diary (3dBD) in women with lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS).

Cost-effectiveness analysis of the surgical treatment of female urinary incontinence using slings and meshes.

Objective: To determine the cost-utility and cost-effectiveness of the surgical treatment of female urinary incontinence using suburethral slings and prolapse meshes compared with therapeutic abstention.

Study Design: An economic analysis was performed on 69 women receiving surgical treatment for urinary incontinence using suburethral slings and prolapse meshes. To calculate the procedure's cost-effectiveness, an incremental analysis up to one year was performed using the incremental cost-effectiveness ratio (ICER).

[Collecting duct (Bellini) carcinoma].

Objectives: To report one case of collecting duct (Bellini) carcinoma and to review the national bibliography. To analyze the clinical, diagnostic, and therapeutic features of this malignant renal tumor.

Methods/results: A 36-year-old male presenting with monosymptomatic hematuria and clot retention was diagnosed of left renal mass suggestive of renal carcinoma.

[Renal artery embolism].

Objectives: To report a case of renal artery embolism. To review the clinical, diagnostic and therapeutic features of this disease interesting for the urologist.

Methods/results: Case of a 47 year old male with history of cardiovascular disease who presents in the emergency room with left flank pain.

[High-flow priapism caused by bilateral arterio-lacunar fistula].

Objective: Literature review about arterial priapism cases secondary to bilateral postraumatic arterial-lacunar fistula, with special attention to therapeutic management by bilateral supraselective embolization.

Methods: Bibliographic search using MEDLINE. A new case of high flow priapism secondary to bilateral postraumatic arterial-lacunar fistula is reported.
