Platelet-Rich Plasma in a Patient with Cerebral Palsy.

Background: The use of platelet-rich plasma is a now a common medical technique known as regenerative medicine, through power cell activation and differentiation, which produces growth factors called platelets derived both locally and systematically. Here, we report the case of a cerebral palsy patient who received intravenous platelet-rich plasma.

Case Report: We administered an intravenous injection of concentrated platelet-rich plasma (25 cc) in a 6-year-old boy with perinatal cerebral palsy, cognitive impairment, and marked and severe generalized spasticity.

Attitude of ancillary personnel faced with living kidney donation in a hospital with a living donor kidney transplant program.

Hospital ancillary workers' opinion has credibility among the general public because they work on behalf of a hospital. The objective of this study is to analyze the attitude of ancillary employees toward living kidney donation and the variables that influence such attitude. A random sample of ancillary personnel (n=401) was taken and stratified according to type of service in a transplant hospital.

[Physicians faced with living liver donation: an attitudinal study in a Spanish hospital with a living donor liver transplant program].

Introduction: Mortality on the waiting list for liver transplants is high. Consequently, alternatives such as living donation are being sought. Therefore, one of the aspects that should be improved is the attitude of healthcare professionals toward this type of donation in order to create a favorable climate.
