Objective: To analyze the knowledge and practices of education of Family Health Strategy professionals regarding child intoxication for the autonomy and empowering of the families.
Methods: Qualitative research, carried out through semistructured interviews with 50 professionals from the Family Health Strategy of a city in the Northwest of Paraná. Data was problematized using Paulo Freire's sociocultural approach and its concepts of dialogism and autonomy.
