The study aimed to investigate phenotypic differences between Black and White patients with Parkinson's disease (PD) by conducting various health assessments in a movement disorders clinic.
In total, 49 patients (24 Black and 25 White) participated, showing no significant demographic differences but varying results on several performance tests.
White participants excelled in gait speed, balance, and cognitive assessments, while Black participants reported lower satisfaction and functionality, indicating a need for further research to understand and address these disparities.
