The chemical composition of extracts (CEs) and essential oils (EOs) from leaves, flower buds, and stems was analyzed. Antiproliferative activity against tumor cell lines, NO production inhibition, and antioxidant and antiviral activities were assessed. The CEs contained flavonoids, phenolic acids, coumarins, and saturated fatty acids.

Quantifying pain in patients admitted to intensive care units (ICUs) is challenging due to the increased prevalence of communication barriers in this patient population. Previous research has posited a positive correlation between pain and physical activity in critically ill patients. In this study, we advance this hypothesis by building machine learning classifiers to examine the ability of accelerometer data collected from daily wearables to predict self-reported pain levels experienced by patients in the ICU.

Method: A systematic review of articles on occupational skin cancer, published in the Lilacs, Scielo, Medline and Cochrane Library from January 1st, 2008, to December 31st, 2013, was performed. The search included the following terms: "neoplasias cutâneas" (DeCS), "exposição ocupacional" (DeCS), "epidemiologia" (DeCS) as well as the keyword "prevenção", and their equivalents in English.
