Products derived from the latex of were obtained through hydrolysis and column chromatography, resulting in products rich in triterpenes, ingenol 3-esters (I3E), and other derivatives from hydrolysed latex. These products underwent evaluation for their cytotoxic activity against gastric adenocarcinoma cells (AGS). Triterpene derivatives were synthesised, and the selectivity of each product was assessed.

Previous studies have demonstrated the cytotoxic potential of bamboo leaf extract obtained from (BLEGI) against HCT-116 colon cancer cells. However, the altered metabolic pathways in these tumor cells remain unknown.

leaves are a source of flavonoids and ellagitannins, and the Brazilian population uses them to treat various diseases, including gastrointestinal disorders. This study aimed to determine if the ethanol extract and other derivatives are effective cytotoxic agents against gastric adenocarcinoma (AGS cells) and anti- agent, its chemical composition, and mass spectrometry characterization of the more abundant compounds. The results were compared with the literature.

Standard oral therapy fails in 15-20% since the barriers of the oral route decrease the bioavailability of antibiotics and the intrinsic factors of bacteria increase the rates of resistance.
