Objective: To investigate whether a humeral intracondylar fissure (HIF) alters bone strain in the French Bulldog humerus, we developed a quantitative CT-based 3-D finite element (FE) model for virtual mechanical testing. We hypothesized that higher strains would be seen in the intracondylar region and lateral epicondylar crest if there was a HIF.
Methods: Patient CT scans from 3 (n = 3) French Bulldogs were selected.
Objective: Medical records for dogs treated with tibial plateau leveling osteotomy (TPLO) using Arthrex 3.5 mm self-tapping screws (STS) were evaluated to determine the incidence rate of transcortical tibial fractures (TCTF) and development of complications.
Study Design: Retrospective case report.
Chronic urticaria (CU) is the recurring development of wheals (aka "hives" or "welts"), angioedema, or both for more than 6 weeks. Wheals and angioedema occur with no definite triggers in chronic spontaneous urticaria, and in response to known and definite physical triggers in chronic inducible urticaria. Approximately 1.

Methods: Medical records of dogs surgically treated for multiligament stifle injury were reviewed from six veterinary hospitals. Long-term follow-up was collected from referring veterinarians.
Objectives: The aim of the study was to describe traumatic stifle injury in cats and report complications and long-term outcome.
Methods: The medical records from seven veterinary hospitals of cats treated for traumatic stifle injury were reviewed. Long-term follow-up data were collected from referring veterinarians and using the Feline Musculoskeletal Pain Index, collected from owners.
Intimate partner violence (IPV) occurs across all cultures, ethnicities, socioeconomic classes, and educational backgrounds. Nurses should be aware of IPV and causative factors that include personal attributes, stressors, and community issues. The Intimate Partner Exposome conceptual model is used to identify exogenous and endogenous IPV risk factors.

Objective: The aim of this study was to report the surgical technique, associated complications and clinical outcome of elbow arthrodesis using a medially positioned plate.
Study Design: This was a retrospective case series.
Results: Six cases met the inclusion criteria.
This study evaluated the feasibility, complications and long-term outcomes of using a cannulated drill system combined with intraoperative imaging to place a transcondylar screw for the management of canine humeral intracondylar fissure. Thirteen dogs were enrolled, with one dog undergoing staged bilateral surgery. No intraoperative complications occurred.

Eleven health care providers at a university health care clinic participated in the IPV screening program. A one-group pretest-posttest design was used to examine whether an IPV screening program was related to a change in health care providers' knowledge, attitudes, and self-efficacy of IPV screening.
