is an opportunistic pathogen and is responsible for more than 40% of all cases of catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTIs). Healthcare-associated infections have been aggravated by the constant emergence of antibiotic-resistant bacterial strains. Because of this, the use of phages to combat bacterial infections gained renewed interest.

The electrophysiological responses obtained by Cortical Auditory Evoked Potentials (CAEP) may provide an objective method to investigate the function of cortical auditory pathways in children exposed to ZIKV. This case series analyzed the findings of CAEP in prenatal-period ZIKV-exposed children with and without microcephaly.

As part of demonstrating their safety profile, stability indicating methods are developed to monitor these drugs and their impurities. In this context, this review describe some characteristics, impurities and the stability indicating methods used for the determination of these drugs and the presence of their related substances.

Aiming (i) to stimulate the interest of high school students in the microbiological world and (ii) to provide didactic experience for microbiology graduate students, practical classes were undertaken. These classes were carried out during the years 2016 and 2017, using the infrastructure held at Universidade Federal de Viçosa.

Both constructs were able to induce antibody production, which were neutralizing against DENV-2 in a murine model. Splenocytes of immunized groups, when challenged with virus, demonstrated Th1 cytokine pattern and proliferation, in addition to the increase of specific T cells.

The objective of this study was to develop a dissolution test in order to establish an in vitro-in vivo correlation (IVIVC) model for desvenlafaxine succinate monohydrate (DVSM) extended release (ER) tablets. The in vitro release characteristics of the drug were determined using USP apparatus 1 at 75 rpm, with volume of HCl pH 1.2, acetate buffer solution (ABS) pH 4.
