Taxonomic changes in Bostrichidae (Insecta, Coleoptera).

The taxonomic changes concern 6 species belonging to the family Bostrichidae. After a taxonomic analysis the following synonyms were established: Melalgus japonicus Chj, 1973 n. syn.

Remarks on Xylomedes Lesne, 1902 with description of a new species from Iran (Coleoptera: Bostrichidae, Apatinae).

Xylomedes bidasi n. sp., hitherto known only from Iran, is described as a new species.
