Background: The efficacy and safety of primary re-irradiation for MSCC are not known. Our aim was to establish the efficacy and safety of biologically effective dose-based re-irradiation.
Methods: Patients presenting with MSCC at a previously irradiated spine segment, and not proceeding with surgical decompression, were eligible.
BACKGROUND: Primary lymphoma of the breast accounts for 0.04-0.5% of all breast malignancies and approximately 1% of all extranodal lymphomas.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFMutations in the KIT gene occur in approximately 8% of all testicular germ cell tumors (TGCT) and KIT is the most frequently mutated known cancer gene. One report has shown that 93% of patients with bilateral disease have a mutation at codon 816 of the KIT gene. Importantly, this suggests that the identification of a mutation in KIT is predictive of the development of a contralateral TGCT.

Methods: The Medical Research Council (MRC) RT01 trial randomised 843 men who had localised PCa to receive either 64 or 74 Gy after 3 - 6 months neoadjuvant hormonal treatment. Fifty-one men were selected who were potent prior to hormonal treatment, having completed both pre-hormone and 2-year post-CFRT Quality of Life assessments, and on whom dose volume data were available for analysis.
Purpose: This study assesses the accuracy of NOMOS B-mode acquisition and targeting system (BAT) compared with computed tomography (CT) in localizing the prostate.
Methods And Materials: Twenty-six patients were CT scanned, and the prostate was localized by 3 observers using the BAT system. The BAT couch shift measurements were compared with the CT localization.
