Sodium, potassium food intake and global cardiovascular risks in Togo.

Objectives: To assess urinary sodium/potassium intake and identify its links with global cardiovascular risk (GCVR) according to the WHOPEN approach to WHO/ISH (International High Blood Pressure Society).

Methods: It was a cross-sectional and analytical study that took place from July 6, 2020, to September 17, 2021, in Togo, in the Aneho, Notse and Dapaong localities. It focused on 400 adults selected by sampling.

Assessment of adherence to public health measures and their impact on the COVID-19 outbreak in Benin Republic, West Africa.

Introduction: following the global COVID-19 outbreak, the government of Benin implemented preventive measures to stall viral transmission. We sought to evaluate adherence of the Beninese people to these preventive measures, in order to identify predictors of poor adherence and adapt the national response to COVID-19.

Methods: two consecutive online surveys were conducted between May and August 2020.

Perception of Beninese on intimate partner violence: evidence from 2011-2012 Benin demographic health survey.

Background: Violence against women remains an important issue of inequality in African societies, with several consequences to health, social and economic status. This study aims to identify the factors related to the perception of intimate partner violence in Benin.

Methods: Data on intimate partner violence was collected by conducting live interviews, and from the Benin Demographic and Health Survey 2012.

[Evaluation of the performance of the logistics management system of malaria control resources in the Littoral Department, Benin, in 2017].

Introduction: This study aimed to evaluate the performance of the logistics management system (LMS) of malaria control (MC) resources in the Littoral Department, Benin, in 2017.

Methods: In June 2017, we conducted a cross-sectional evaluative study focusing on the structures for the storage and the disposal of MC resources as well as on staff involved in their management. The performance of the the logistics management system was evaluated on the basis of the observed compliance of the components and sub-components of the "Structure", the "Process" and the "Results" with the norms and standards defined by the Ministry of Health.
