The ongoing and contentious coverage of abortion in a progressive context: a long-term cross-outlet assessment of Dutch abortion news (2000-2022).

Utilising automated content analysis with transformer-based topic modelling (BERTopic), this study examines cross-outlet variation in volume and topics over two decades (2000-2022) of abortion coverage in seven major daily newspapers in the Netherlands. Our findings reveal an ongoing coverage of abortion. Volume of coverage was notably highest in religious newspapers, indicating that these newspapers constitute a prominent voice in Dutch abortion debate.

More or less diverse: An assessment of the effect of attention to media salient company types on media agenda diversity in Dutch newspaper coverage between 2007 and 2013.

This study on news coverage of highly visible company types in a Dutch daily quality newspaper (; N = 14,363), during the economic crisis (2007-2013), shows that attention to banks (and to a lesser extent also to the automobile and components industry) had a structural negative influence on media agenda diversity. The majority of the other salient company types had a significant positive impact on diversity. These results suggest that banks attracted attention at the expense of more varied, diverse coverage during the crisis.

Emphysematous cystitis due to recurrent Clostridium difficile infection.

A 78-year-old woman with long-standing obstipation presented herself to the hospital with diarrhoea and progressive abdominal cramping since 2 days. Acute abdomen developed and an emergency exploratory laparotomy was indicated, which showed no signs of bowel ischaemia. After admission to the internal ward, stool Clostridium difficile PCR was tested positive.

[Endovascular stenting in a stenotic solitary kidney; renal failure due to atherosclerotic renal artery stenosis].

In this article we present three patients with atherosclerotic renal artery stenosis in a solitary kidney. They developed progressive renal failure, hypertension or fluid overload which were resistant to drug therapy. As there were no other therapeutic options they were treated with renal artery stenting, with good clinical results.

Endovascular treatment of atherosclerosis at the aortoiliac bifurcation with kissing stents or distal aortic stents: a temporary solution or durable improvement?

To evaluate medium-term technical and clinical success after endovascular treatment of stenosis or occlusion at the aortoiliac bifurcation with a distal aortic stent or kissing stents. Between 1995 and 2004, 25 patients were included in the study. Nine patients were treated with an aortic stent, and 16 patients were treated with kissing stents.
