Background: Mixed methods research (MMR) can be a pathway for doctoral nursing students to create innovative and noble contributions for the advancement of nursing theory, practice, and education. Several issues and challenges must be identified to successfully train, mentor, and support doctoral nursing students in conducting MMR.

Aim: The study aimed to explore the status and critical issues in conducting, mentoring, and training MMR in doctoral nursing programs in the Philippines.

Uncovering adaptive mechanisms and resilience among older adults: A qualitative study on the mental health impacts of temperature variations.

Background: Variable environmental temperature changes have affected different population groups; however, limited empirical studies in nursing have focused on older adults. One of the most pressing issues of today is climate change, where nurses should explore and advance their roles.

Objective: This study aimed to explore and describe the experience of older adults with temperature variations as a consequence of climate change and its impact on mental health.

A Proposed Theory of Symptom Cluster Management.

Background: Symptom cluster management is in its early stages in many chronic and debilitating illnesses. The development of a proposed theory should be an initial step in advancing this area of interest.
