Development and validation of paired MEDLINE and Embase search filters for cost-utility studies.

Background: Search filters are standardised sets of search terms, with validated performance, that are designed to retrieve studies with specific characteristics. A cost-utility analysis (CUA) is the preferred type of economic evaluation to underpin decision-making at the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). Until now, when searching for economic evidence for NICE guidelines, we have used a broad set of health economic-related search terms, even when the reviewer's interest is confined to CUAs alone.

Objective: What are the costs, benefits and harms of immediate birth compared with expectant management in women with prolonged preterm prelabour rupture of membranes (PPROM) at 34 -36  weeks of gestation and detection of vaginal or urine group B streptococcus (GBS)?

Design: Mathematical decision model comprising three independent decision trees.

Setting: UK National Health Service (NHS) and personal social services perspective.

Population: Women testing positive for GBS with PPROM at 34 -36  weeks of gestation.

Barriers and Facilitators to Healthy Eating among Adult Food Bank Users.

Healthy eating relates to improved health, yet adult food bank users report difficulty accessing healthy foods. Registered nurses can promote healthy eating for food bank recipients by understanding perceived obstacles and facilitators. Urban food bank users completed a survey, and qualitative content analysis was used to analyze four open-ended questions regarding perceptions of healthy eating.

Chronic pain and depressive symptoms are related to food insecurity among urban food bank users.

Background: Food bank users suffer high food insecurity. Food insecurity increases risk for chronic health conditions. However, chronic pain and its relation to food insecurity among food bank users is unknown.

Online Depressive Symptom Self-Management: Comparing Program Outcomes for Adults With Multiple Sclerosis Versus Those With Other Chronic Diseases.

Aims: The goals of the study were to evaluate participant engagement and effects of an Internet-based, self-directed program for depressive symptoms. We compared outcomes of adults with multiple sclerosis (MS) with those of adults with other chronic diseases.

Methods: This was a secondary analysis of a randomized controlled pilot study.
