mpactR automates pre-processing of liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) data from microbiological samples to correct mispicked peaks, resolve inter-sample variation in abundance across technical replicates, account for in-source ion fragmentation, and remove background noise to yield high-quality mass spectrometry features. Objective: This study sought to identify: (1) the demographic and clinical characteristics of very high-cost users (defined as patients with pharmaceutical expenditures that were equal to or greater than the 99th percentile), (2) whether or not these characteristics changed over time, (3) sociodemographic and clinical correlates of being very high-cost users, (4) the average pharmaceutical costs of very-high cost users, and (5) the therapeutic classes and medications that contributed to these high costs.

Objective: To assess patient reported outcomes of patients with migraine receiving preventative medications, and to compare patient reported outcomes and unplanned care of patients on calcitonin gene-related peptide inhibitors (CGRPi) with those on other preventative medications.

Background: Patient reported outcome measures can be useful in conditions such as migraine with frequent disability. CGRPi are newer migraine preventative medications that can improve patients' quality of life.

Introduction: In estimated glomerular filtration rate equations (eGFR), the race multiplier (RM) yields greater eGFR values and may assign less severe chronic kidney disease (CKD) stages to black individuals. When deciding on appropriateness for partial nephrectomy (PN), patients with CKD are often considered a relative or absolute indication. We hypothesize that the eGFR RM may have ramifications for patients being counseled for radical nephrectomy (RN) versus PN to manage their renal tumor.

To address this colocalization gap, we identify eQTLs, chromatin accessibility QTLs (caQTLs), and histone acetylation QTLs (haQTLs) using molecular samples from three early developmental (EDev) tissues. Through colocalization, we annotate 586 GWAS loci for 17 traits by QTL complexity, QTL phenotype, and QTL temporal specificity.

Noninvasive estimation of skeletal muscle oxygen consumption rate and microvascular reactivity in chronic stroke survivors using near-infrared spectroscopy.

Due to disuse atrophy, we hypothesized that basal muscle oxygen consumption rate and microvascular endothelial function would be impaired in the tibialis anterior (TA) muscle of the affected leg of chronic stroke survivors compared with the nonaffected leg and versus matched controls. Fifteen chronic stroke survivors (10 females) and 15 matched controls (9 females) completed this study.
