Cardiomyopathy is a disease of the cardiomyocytes that affects their structural function, leading to heart failure (HF). Non-ischemic cardiomyopathy (NICM) includes a subtype of dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), restrictive cardiomyopathy (RCM), and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM).
