Patients' increasing digital participation provides an opportunity to pursue patient-centric research and drug development by understanding their needs. Social media has proven to be one of the most useful data sources when it comes to understanding a company's potential audience to drive more targeted impact. Navigating through an ocean of information is a tedious task where techniques such as artificial intelligence and text analytics have proven effective in identifying relevant posts for healthcare business questions.

The extra-articular portion within the bicipital groove undergoes frequent load and friction during shoulder movements and pathology within this area is frequently missed during arthroscopic assessment.
Methods: We quantified the arthroscopically assessable length of tendon within the shoulder in 14 consecutive patients undergoing subpectoral biceps tenodesis.
The evidence-based Diabetes Self-Management Program (DSMP) has been shown to improve a variety of health-related outcomes, but the program has been challenging to implement in rural areas, and rural dissemination has been low. The purpose of this project was to evaluate the effect of implementing the DSMP on self-reported outcomes in a rural region. Through a collaboration with multiple partners, the Living Well program delivered 28 DSMP workshops from 2017 to 2019.

To maintain biceps strength and contour and minimize cramping, restoration of muscle-length tension and appropriate positioning of the tenodesis is key. Little is known about the biceps musculotendinous junction (MTJ) anatomy, especially in relation to the overlying pectoralis major tendon (PMT), which is a commonly used landmark for tenodesis positioning.

Methods: This study used pharmacist professional liability claim data from the Healthcare Providers Service Organization professional liability insurance program, underwritten by CNA. The final 2018 claims dataset consisted of pharmacist professional liability (i.
Objective: The aim of the study was to compare objectively measured physical activity (PA) between greenway users playing and not playing Pokémon Go.
Materials And Methods: A sample of 100 participants walking on a greenway wore an Omron pedometer and ActiGraph accelerometer and provided demographic data through an intercept survey during a natural experiment. Mann-Whitney U tests and multiple regression compared greenway PA variables between Pokémon Go (n = 13) and non-Pokémon Go (n = 87).
Background: Propionibacterium acnes may be transmitted from the subdermal tissues to the deeper tissues during shoulder arthroplasty surgery, resulting in deep infection. The aim of this prospective, clinical study was to determine whether the use of a wound protector drape can lower the incidence of P. acnes in the wound during shoulder arthroplasty surgery.

Data Source: Multiple databases were systematically searched to identify research studies published between 1990 and 2015 on culture of health elements.
Study Inclusion And Exclusion Criteria: Researchers included studies based on the following criteria: (1) conducted in a worksite setting; (2) applied and evaluated 1 or more culture of health elements; and (3) reported 1 or more health or safety factors.
Including or excluding certain questions about organ donation may influence peoples' intention to donate. We investigated the effect of omitting certain affective attitudinal items on potential donors' intention and behavior for donation. A cross-sectional survey with a subgroup nested randomized trial.

It is well established that various multilevel factors may influence changes in PA. The present study examined whether the association between the change in individual, interpersonal, and environmental factors and the change in PA is modified by race/ethnicity or SES.

For example, previous studies suggest that nAChRs can re-wire gene regulatory networks in lung cancer cell lines. However, the tissue specificity of nAChRs genes and their regulation remain unexplored.

BPS facilitates interpretation of structural variants by merging structural variant breakpoint predictions, gene exon structure, read depth, and RNA-sequencing expression into a single comprehensive figure.

Obesity rates among children and adolescents in developed countries have increased dramatically since the 1970s. During that same period, numerous secular changes have combined to reduce the demand for physical activity in day-to-day life, and many barriers to physical activity are now evident. As a consequence, most children and adolescents do not meet the accepted public health guidelines for physical activity.

Methods: A portfolio of companies that received high scores in a corporate health and wellness self-assessment was simulated based on past market performance and compared with past performance of companies represented on the Standard and Poor's (S&P) 500 Index.
Results: Stock values for a portfolio of companies that received high scores in a corporate health and wellness self-assessment appreciated by 235% compared with the S&P 500 Index appreciation of 159% over a 6-year simulation period.
Obesity prevention is a public health priority and intervention strategies have focused primarily on healthy eating and physical activity in children and adults. To date, no review has systematically compiled and synthesised the scientific evidence from published review articles to determine whether there is clear consensus on the causes of obesity. A systematic review of the literature was conducted searching PubMed/Medline for narrative and systematic review articles published between January 1990 and October 2014 that examined the causes of obesity.

That three-step allocation process and framework was published previously in this journal. Specifically, this paper offers a rationale and justification for the framework's second step, which involves a triage process aimed to ensure that the available drug supply is utilized effectively and ethically.

It is essentially regulated by transcription factors as well as epigenetic players. While it is well known that the inhibition of transcriptionally repressive histone deacetylases leads to neuroprotection, the role of histone methyltransferases in the postischemic transcriptional response remains elusive.

Data were provided by a large annual survey representative of Japanese aged 18 and older; all measures were by self-report. Women aged 50 and older who reported diagnosed osteoporosis (N = 900) were compared based on current treatment status using bivariate statistics and logistic regression.
