This study measured radon levels in drinking water in the Nizampur basin and assessed health risks to the local community.
The analysis of 48 water samples showed that radon levels varied, with about 65% exceeding the EPA limit, and highlighted high health risks due to local geological conditions.
Inhalation was identified as the main exposure route for all age groups, with infants facing the highest risk, emphasizing the need for further monitoring and potential intervention.
