A new single-step aptamer-based surface-enhanced fluorescent optical sensor is built, by combining an aptamer-target interaction for target recognition and a fluorophore interaction for signal enhancement. The developed aptasensor is simple, sensitive, specific and stable for the detection of thrombin. A new nanometallic Au structure in the range of 100 nm was constructed through effective electroless plating method on a Cu thin film.

We present the design and fabrication of a new microfluidic device in which the dielectrophoresis and magnetophoresis phenomena were used for the separation of the superparamagnetic microbeads of different sizes. By exploiting the fact that two different particles can exhibit different dielectrophoretic force-frequency spectra, we utilize this device to perform multiplex detection from a single sample solution. We found the transition frequency range for 1, 2.

This paper reports for the first time the exact mechanism of the selective metal nanoscale etch method (SMNEM), which is a simply controllable and cost-effective approach for metal nanoscale etching and size reduction. This method is based on the galvanic displacement, Kirkendall effect, and selective etching. The size reduction is linearly controlled by the galvanic displacement in the early stage (1 min).
