Objectives: Home-based primary care (HBPC) provides interdisciplinary, longitudinal, comprehensive care at home to homebound older adults. The prevalence of dementia among HBPC recipients is approximately 50%. To date, little research has been performed to determine whether dementia-specific interventions have been conducted in HBPC or their efficacy.

DM has a significant impact on quality of life (QoL) in patients, due to the physical and emotional symptoms caused by their disease. Despite this known emotional impact, there is no published literature capturing how adults with DM feel about their disease, from their perspective.
