Introduction: The physical and psychosocial demands of work are important factors in the genesis of musculoskeletal pain. Identification of these dimensions and their interfaces with workers' individual characteristics could improve understanding of these outcomes.
Objectives: To analyze the associations between the physical and psychosocial demands of work and occurrence of musculoskeletal pain in health care workers.
Background: Motor vehicle crash (MVC) is a major public health problem worldwide and contributes to a large burden of death, disability, and economic loss.
Objective: To identify the predictors of hospital readmission in victims of MVC within 1 year after discharge.
Methods: A prospective cohort study conducted with individuals who suffered MVC admitted to a regional hospital and who were followed up for 12 months after discharge.

Based on hands-on experience of the Information Technology Applied to Healthcare classes at the Jequié Campus of the Southeast Bahia State University (UESB) for the Nursing and Physiotherapy courses, an experience is reported that stresses the importance of teaching information technology by establishing links between Information and Communications Technologies and the praxis of the healthcare practitioners, enhancing the educational process and allowing students to 'visualize' how such technologies could be used for producing and qualifying impacts on their professional activities.
