Objectives: to know the scientific production on psychiatric nursing and mental health teaching in relation to Brazilian nursing curriculum.

Methods: an Integrative Literature Review with no temporal delineation, whose data collection took place in ten Brazilian and international databases, adding to the total 35 objects of analysis.

Results: a priori categories were adopted, consisting of the psychiatric nursing and mental health teaching in Brazil according to the 1923, 1949, 1962, 1972, 1994 and 2001 nursing curriculum, presented in the light of the dimensions: thought model; places of practice; methods or contents used; and profile or skills of the student.

Objective: To report the experience of the operationalization of clinical simulation as a pedagogical strategy in a subject of an undergraduate course in Nursing.

Method: Clinical simulation cycles were carried out following the steps of action research, such as: planning, action, observation and reflection, from March 2014 to July 2015 with 10 professors and 44 students from a Primary Care and Mental Health subject of an undergraduate course in Nursing.

Results: Five cycles of clinical simulation were performed, at the end of each cycle modifications were suggested by students and professors and the operation was adjusted to meet the needs of the subject.

Objective: Evaluating and understanding the resilience process of the health team in caring for people with mental disorders in a psychiatric hospital.

Method: A mixed-method study with concomitant triangulation of data from a cross-sectional study, with health professionals, and Grounded Theory in the data. Quantitative data were collected using the Resilience Scale and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics.

This study contextualizes the Psychiatric Nursing and Mental Health in Brazil, considering the major historic, political and social factors that influence nursing care in this area. Reflections pointed to changes in the paradigm of psychosocial care considering the legal aspects that regulate the actions, progress and challenges experienced in the practice of Psychiatric Nursing in healthcare settings as well as in nursing education. It is essential to train professionals to work in management and assistance in perspective and interdisciplinary care network.
