French validation of the Stigma Resistance Scale in a sample of people with psychotic disorders.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to translate the Stigma Resistance Scale into French and to examine its psychometric qualities to measure stigma resistance in people with psychotic disorders.

Methods: The Stigma Resistance Scale was rigorously translated into French, involving translation, back-translation, and adjustments based on focus groups. The French version of the Stigma Resistance Scale comprises 20 items divided into five subscales measuring resistance to stigma at different levels.

Cognitive impairment and therapeutic response in resistant depression.

Objectives: Therapeutic response in depression is a major challenge since more than one third of patients are not in remission after two attempts of antidepressant treatment and will present a treatment-resistant depression. In order to better adapt therapeutic strategies for treatment-resistant patients, predictive indicators and markers of therapeutic response still need to be identified. In parallel, patients with depression exhibit disturbances in cognitive functioning.

The action research undertaken by health manager students at the Nice health manager training institution has helped to optimise the stay of patients with a mental disorder in general medical and surgical units. Based on the assessment of the training needs of caregivers working in these units, it enables the students to anticipate their future function.
