Histopathology of peripapillary choroidal neovascularization.

The different therapeutic responses observed among choroidal neovascularization (CNV) of different etiologies, ages, and locations might be related to the presence of varied mediators. Two surgically removed peripapillary CNVs from two different patients were analyzed. One of the patients had received one intravitreous injection of bevacizumab 3 months earlier.
