Central nervous system (CNS) involvement in autoimmune rheumatic diseases represents a significant challenge for clinicians across all specialties. While most reviews on the subject focus on neurological manifestations within a specific rheumatic disease, few descriptions shift from neurological clinical syndromes to achieve rheumatological diagnoses. This narrative review aims to synthesize current knowledge on the diagnosis and management of CNS manifestations occurring in the most prevalent rheumatic conditions in adults.

Introduction And Importance: Dermatomyositis (DM) is an autoimmune myopathy primarily affecting both muscles and skin. When muscle weakness is not clinically apparent, but characteristic skin lesions are present, the condition is referred to as clinically amyopathic dermatomyositis (CADM).
Case Presentation: The authors present the case of a 52-year-old female with a typical DM rash, interstitial pneumonia, and multiple skin ulcers.
Most anti-inflammatory drugs currently adopted to treat chronic inflammatory joint diseases can alleviate symptoms but they do not lead to remission. Therefore, new and more efficient drugs are needed to block the course of joint inflammatory diseases. Animal venoms, rich in bioactive compounds, can contribute as valuable tools in this field of research.

ASC protein is an adaptor protein present in several inflammasome complexes that performs several intra- and extracellular functions, in monomeric form or as ASC specks, during physiological and pathological processes related to inflammation and adaptive immunity. Extracellular ASC specks (eASC specks) released during cell death by pyroptosis can contribute as a danger signal to the propagation of inflammation via phagocytosis and activation of surrounding cells.

Hydrothermally-altered feldspar (HydroPotash, HYP) possesses, among other physicochemical properties, high pH buffering and cation exchange capacity. Therefore, it may potentially remove heavy metals from aqueous solutions and immobilize these metals in contaminated soil. Method: A retrospective, cross-sectional, and quantitative study using secondary data from individual follow-up forms of a weight loss clinic located in a municipality in northwestern Paraná, Brazil. Data collection took place in August 2018 through a checklist of anthropometric parameters, being stored in Excel spreadsheets and analyzed by descriptive statistics using the SPSS program.
We have investigated Amblyomin-X-treated horse melanomas to better understand its mode of action through transcriptome analysis and the in vivo model. Amblyomin-X is a Kunitz-type homologous protein that selectively leads to the death of tumor cells via ER stress and apoptosis, currently under investigation as a new drug candidate for cancer treatment. Melanomas are immunogenic tumors, and a better understanding of the immune responses is warranted.

Method: This quasi-experimental, prospective study includes 9 patients with SAMs (six with dermatomyositis, two with antisynthetase syndrome, and one with polymyositis). Patients were submitted to a 12-week, twice a week, exercise training program comprising aerobic and resistance exercises.
EPNs comprise a heterogeneous group of neuroepithelial tumors, accounting for about 10% of all intracranial tumors in children and up to 30% of brain tumors in those younger than 3 years. Actually, the pattern therapy for low-grade EPNs includes complete surgical resection followed by radiation therapy. Total surgical excision is often not possible due to tumor location.

Furthermore, Amblyomin-X was able to drastically reduce lung metastasis in a mice orthotopic kidney tumor model.
