When used for a longer duration, it produces taste alteration and staining on the tooth surfaces. Nowadays, herbal extracts from plants have been widely used as they possess anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and analgesic actions.

Background: Irreversible hydrocolloid materials are widely used for both diagnostic and definitive impression procedures. Impressions can be disinfected by immersion or spraying in any compatible disinfectant. Disinfectants should not adversely affect the dimensional stability of the impression and physical properties of impression material and subsequent dental cast.

Comparison of implant cast accuracy of multiple implant impression technique with different splinting materials: An in vitro study.
