In a clinical context, oral lymphomas are very uncommon and frequently challenging to identify. Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphomas are a diverse category of lymphomas that were formerly believed to be formed from B-cells located in the marginal zone, which surrounds B-cell follicles and the surrounding lymphoepithelium. Extranodal organs like the stomach, thyroid, and large salivary glands are where they most frequently appear.

Background: Increased afterload in aortic stenosis (AS) induces left ventricle (LV) remodeling to preserve a normal ejection fraction. This compensatory response can become maladaptive and manifest with motion abnormality. It is a clinical challenge to identify contractile and relaxation dysfunction during early subclinical stage to prevent irreversible deterioration.

A dual purpose solid state electrochromic diode has been fabricated using polythiophene (P3HT) and ethyl Viologen (EV), predoped with multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and MoS. The device has been designed by considering two important aspects, first, the complementary redox activity of P3HT and EV and second, the electron holding properties of MoS and MWCNTs. The latter is found to enhance the electrochromic performance of the solid state device.

Given the persistent challenges to the higher education business model, private higher education institutions (PHEIs) are exploring myriad ways to increase enrolment and income, while aggressively managing spending. Many PHEIs are facing financial distress and struggling because of decreasing budgets and declining revenue. Thus, carving unique strategies that direct the institution to focus on its core competencies, making additional budget cuts without compromising quality, developing new revenue streams, embracing new technology, and offering affordable programs, will ultimately lead to financial success.

Background: The confidence of Bottom 40 (B40) shareholders is crucial for cooperative's sustenance within wider corporate governance. An in-depth study on cooperatives is needed, as they play a crucial role in the Malaysian economic system and contribute greatly to the country's social development. However, in the current landscape, confidence among shareholders is at stake.

Higher education institutions (HEI) are faced with increasing challenges related to shrinking resources, high operation costs, the COVID-19 pandemic, decreasing student enrolment rates, and pressure to contribute to regional development and economic growth. To overcome such challenges, academics must move beyond their traditional functions of research and teaching and engage in entrepreneurial activities. Through engagement in entrepreneurial activities, academics can contribute to frugal innovation (FI) in private HEI (PHEI).

Due to the growing interest in monolayer (ML) molybdenum disulfide (MoS) in several optoelectronic applications like lasers, detectors, sensors, it is important to understand the ultrafast behavior of the excited carriers in this material. In this article, a comprehensive study of the charge carrier dynamics of a monolayer MoSflake has been studied using transient transmission technique near A-exciton under high excitation densities well above the Mott density. Fluence dependent studies has been carried out to understand the origin of the processes which modifies its optical response under excitation.

The neurotropic potential of the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) was demonstrated quite recently; however, the mechanistic details are yet to be explored. Therefore, the effects of EBV infection in the neural milieu remain underexplored. Previous reports have suggested the potential role of virus-derived peptides in seeding the amyloid-β aggregation cascade, which lies at the center of Alzheimer's disease (AD) pathophysiology.

In this article, we study non-radiative and radiative relaxation processes in a hybrid formed by combining Ag nanoparticle (NP) and CdTe quantum dots (QD) using transient transmission spectroscopy. The ultrafast transient transmission of hybrid, when excited at 400 nm, shows a faster recovery of hot electrons at a shorter time scale (few picoseconds) while it shows a slower recovery at longer time scale (few tens of picoseconds). Further it is found that the contribution of CdTe QD to the transient transmission is increased in the presence of Ag NP.

Optical pump-probe spectroscopy is a powerful tool to directly probe the carrier dynamics in materials down to sub-femtosecond resolution. To perform such measurements, while keeping the pump induced perturbation to the sample as small as possible, it is essential to have a detection scheme with a high signal to noise ratio. Achieving such a high signal to noise ratio is easy with phase sensitive detection based on a lock-in-amplifier when a high repetition rate laser is used as the optical pulse source.

A single-shot method for measurement of nonlinear optical absorption and refraction is described and analyzed. A spatial intensity variation of an elliptical Gaussian beam in conjugation with an array detector is the key element of this method. The advantages of this single-shot technique were demonstrated by measuring the two-photon absorption and free-carrier absorption in GaAs as well as the nonlinear refractive index of CS2 using a modified optical Kerr setup.
