The primary objectives of asthma management during pregnancy are to achieve adequate symptom control, reduce the risk of acute exacerbations, and maintain normal pulmonary function, all of which contribute to ensuring the health and well-being of both the mother and the baby. The Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) recommends that pregnant women with asthma continue using asthma medications throughout pregnancy, as the benefits of well-controlled asthma for both the mother and fetus outweigh the potential risks of medication side effects, poorly controlled asthma, and exacerbations. The classification of asthma medications by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) into categories A, B, C, D, and X is no longer applied.

The primary goal of this study was to assess differences in adherence to self-care activities regarding sociodemographics and clinical characteristics in pediatric patients with type 1 diabetes. The secondary goal of this study was to understand the level of parental involvement in diabetes management and to assess the pediatric patients' behaviors (independent or dependent on disease self-management) that relate to sociodemographic and clinical characteristics.

Introduction: In October 2022, after almost two years, tuberculosis reclaimed its first place as the world's deadliest infectious disease, replacing COVID-19. Since knowledge is the most powerful tool to combat any disease, the primary goal of our study was to assess patients' knowledge of tuberculosis and its relationship to their socio-demographic status.
Methodology: This cross-sectional study included 1,067 respiratory patients who were surveyed between November 2021 and June 2022 at the Institute for Pulmonary Diseases of Vojvodina (Serbia).
Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) is a widespread chronic joint disease characterized by functional limitations and pain. Sarcoidosis granulomas can form in any organ, but the lungs and intrathoracic lymph nodes are the most commonly affected. Thyroid involvement in sarcoidosis is very rare, with prevalence estimates of 1-4.

Methods: Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded (FFPE) DNA samples extracted from 22 NSCLC patients were analyzed with methylation-specific polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method to obtain promoter methylation profile. The same cohort was genotyped for - 216G > T, -191 C > A, and 181,946 C > T EGFR SNPs.

Since students frequently lack adequate knowledge in this area and fail to recognize the importance of ADRs monitoring and reporting, the aim of this study was to develop and validate a unique and reliable instrument for assessing health sciences students' knowledge and attitudes toward pharmacovigilance and ADRs reporting.
Subjects And Methods: A cross-sectional observational study was conducted from February to July 2021 to examine students' knowledge and attitudes toward pharmacovigilance activities.
Objective: COVID-19 is associated with an increased incidence of pulmonary embolism (PE). Elevated D-dimer levels are linked to an increased risk of PE and poor clinical outcome. We reported a case of PE in a COVID-19 patient with normal D-dimer levels and conducted a review of the literature on the subject.
