- Cartilage hypoplasia syndrome is an immunodeficiency disease linked to short stature, thin hair, and varying levels of immune system issues, with cutaneous granulomas being a rare symptom.* ! A case study of a middle-aged man showed him developing chronic and severe skin ulcers due to this syndrome.* ! The patient was treated with the drug adalimumab, which targets tumor necrosis factor-alpha, leading to some improvement and highlighting the need for more research on treatment options for this syndrome.*
