Post-operative atrial fibrillation (POAF) is the most common arrhythmia in the post-operative period after cardiac surgery. Cardiac myxomas are the most common primary cardiac tumours in adults. Clinical presentation is variable, with few cases of infected myxomas reported in the literature.
