Early detection and correct identification of the optic disc (OD) on scanned retinal images are significant for diagnosing and treating several ophthalmic conditions, including glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy. Conventional methods for detecting the OD often struggle with processing retinal images due to noise, changes in illumination, and complex overlapping images. This study presents the development of effective and accurate fixation of the optic disc using the Bitterling Fish Optimization (BFO) algorithm, which enhances the processes of OD imaging in speed and precision.

Colon cancer is a prevalent and potentially fatal disease that demands early and accurate diagnosis for effective treatment. Traditional diagnostic approaches for colon cancer often face limitations in accuracy and efficiency, leading to challenges in early detection and treatment. In response to these challenges, this paper introduces an innovative method that leverages artificial intelligence, specifically convolutional neural network (CNN) and Fishier Mantis Optimizer, for the automated detection of colon cancer.

Automatic diagnosis of arrhythmia by electrocardiogram has a significant role to play in preventing and detecting cardiovascular disease at an early stage. In this study, a deep neural network model based on Harris hawks optimization is presented to arrive at a temporal and spatial fusion of information from ECG signals. Compared with the initial model of the multichannel deep neural network mechanism, the proposed model of this research has a flexible input length; the number of parameters is halved and it has a more than 50% reduction in computations in real-time processing.

A medical center in the smart cities of the future needs data security and confidentiality to treat patients accurately. One mechanism for sending medical data is to send information to other medical centers without preserving confidentiality. This method is not impressive because in treating people, the privacy of medical information is a principle.

The damaged areas of brain tissues can be extracted by using segmentation methods, most of which are based on the integration of machine learning and data mining techniques. An important segmentation method is to utilize clustering techniques, especially the fuzzy C-means (FCM) clustering technique, which is sufficiently accurate and not overly sensitive to imaging noise. Therefore, the FCM technique is appropriate for multiple sclerosis diagnosis, although the optimal selection of cluster centers can affect segmentation.

In this study, Gabor wavelet transform on the strength of deep learning which is a new approach for the symmetry face database is presented. A proposed face recognition system was developed to be used for different purposes. We used Gabor wavelet transform for feature extraction of symmetry face training data, and then, we used the deep learning method for recognition.

In this paper, an algorithm is introduced to solve the global optimization problem for melanoma skin cancer segmentation. The algorithm is based on the smoothing of an auxiliary function that is constructed using a known local minimizer and smoothed by utilising Bezier curves. This function achieves all filled function properties.

In this paper, a new approach is proposed for localization and segmentation of the optic disc in human retina images. This new approach can find the boundary of the optic disc by an initial fuzzy clustering means algorithm. The proposed approach uses active contour model evolution based on a fuzzy clustering algorithm.

Normally, the optic disc detection of retinal images is useful during the treatment of glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy. In this paper, the novel preprocessing of a retinal image with a bat algorithm (BA) optimization is proposed to detect the optic disc of the retinal image. As the optic disk is a bright area and the vessels that emerge from it are dark, these facts lead to the selected segments being regions with a great diversity of intensity, which does not usually happen in pathological regions.

There are various methods and algorithms to detect the optic discs in retinal images. In recent years, much attention has been given to the utilization of the intelligent algorithms. In this paper, we present a new automated method of optic disc detection in human retinal images using the firefly algorithm.

This paper focuses on the issue of extracting retina vessels with supervised approach. Since the green channel in the retina image has the best contrast between vessel and non-vessel, this channel is used to separate vessels. In our approach we are proposing a technique of using gray-level co-occurrence matrix method for composition of the retinal images.
