Piezoelectric energy harvesters have traditionally taken the form of base excited cantilevers. However, there is a growing body of research into the use of curved piezoelectric transducers for energy harvesting. The novel contribution of this paper is an analytical model of a piezoelectric energy harvesting curved beam based on the dynamic stiffness method (DSM) and its application to predict the measured output of a novel design of energy harvester that uses commercial curved transducers (THUNDER TH-7R).

Introduction: The objective of this study was to evaluate the forces and moments exerted by orthodontic aligners on 3 different displaced maxillary teeth and their adjacent supporting teeth.

Methods: An in vitro orthodontic simulator was used to measure the forces and moments of a 0.75-mm thick glycol-modified polyethylene terephthalate material for 3 maxillary teeth: central incisor, canine, and second premolar.
