Background And Objectives: Strokes disproportionately affect underprivileged populations. Mobile stroke units (MSUs) bring diagnostic and treatment tools for stroke directly to patients. This study assessed how MSUs in Rochester, New York, address disparities in stroke care.

Mobile Stroke Unit Operational Metrics: Institutional Experience, Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.

Background: The available literature on mobile stroke units (MSU) has focused on clinical outcomes, rather than operational performance. Our objective was to establish normalized metrics and to conduct a meta-analysis of the current literature on MSU performance.

Methods: Our MSU in upstate New York serves 741,000 people.

Mobile stroke care expedites intravenous thrombolysis and endovascular thrombectomy.

Background: The number of mobile stroke programmes has increased with evidence, showing they expedite intravenous thrombolysis. Outstanding questions include whether time savings extend to patients eligible for endovascular therapy and impact clinical outcomes.
