This paper deals with the search for optimal conditions for the identification of Transkarbam 12 (T 12) as a substance used for acceleration of transdermal penetration. Such substances are used in cases when drugs do not pass through the skin barrier under normal conditions. Other advantages are that they do not irritate the digestive system, provide continuous administration to an organism, and reduce fluctuations of drug concentration in blood.

Two zirconia-based stationary phases were studied as an option for use in drug analysis. The different properties of zirconia material, distinct from RP silica-columns, were employed for the development of a novel and rapid stability monitoring HPLC method.

Evaluation of selected drugs (ibuprofen, indomethacin, and flufenamic acid) was performed using the HPLC method on columns with the reverse phase C-18 and detection in the UV region of the spectrum. A study of the conditions of SFE carried out for 30 min at 50 degrees C investigated the magnitude of the pressure of carbon dioxide suitable for drug extraction, the selection of the collecting solvent, and the modification of CO2 with an organic solvent.
